The flair of the fourth season of the year will be captured and highlighted through various cultural genres.

The renowned Chursächsische Winterträume winter cultural festival, running from the 1st Advent weekend through February 28, the two **Saxon state spas, Bad Elster and Bad Brambach**, will once again serve as havens of well-being and starting points for an inspiring stay combining culture and relaxation in the natural winter landscape of the Upper Vogtland. Now in its 24th edition, the successful festival will once again showcase the diverse cultural and tourist offerings of the entire **music and winter sports region** as an exciting winter dream: In addition to the numerous top events at the **Royal Gardens in Bad Elster** , selected activities from the neighboring tourist towns **of Adorf, Klingenthal, Markneukirchen, and Schöneckwill** also **be** integrated into the festival program.

***Advent and Christmas Program at the König Albert Theater*** 
The historic King Albert Theater, the festival’s main venue, delights guests with a wide range of operettas, musicals, and concerts featuring classical, pop, and jazz music. Classical musical highlights of the Christmas season include, above all, the opening event featuring the premiere of **Mozart’s \*The Magic Flute\*** (Nov. 27), the **symphony concert \*Christmas Poetry\*** (Dec. 11), the **Christmas ballet “The Nutcracker”** (Dec. 27), and the **year-end candlelight concert** (Dec. 29). Other top events include special concert and theater evenings featuring, among others, **Felix Räuber** (Nov. 29), the **UK Ukulele Orchestra** (Dec. 4), star jazz musician **Joe Wulff** (Dec. 5), **Charles Brauer and Uschi Brüning** (Dec. 18) and the regal a cappella concert featuring **The Queen Six** from London (Dec. 26), as well as Christmas entertainment with **Michaela May** (Nov. 28), **Ross Antony** (Dec. 19), the **Original USA Gospel Singers** (Dec. 30), and an **Irish Christmas show** (Dec. 12). In addition, the exquisite **“Ball de Culinaire”** —a stylish variety dinner event—will take place at the Royal Kurhaus (Nov. 27–28), a dazzling **Advent festival** (Dec. 5–7) draws visitors to the center of Bad Elster’s Royal Gardens, and **“Der kleine Muck”** delights audiences as a winter family theater production to round out the year (Dec. 28 &amp; 29).

***Winter Dream Program in the Royal Gardens*** 
Following the lively **New Year’s concerts by the Chursächsische Philharmonie** (Jan. 1 &amp; 2), the new year brings the ballet classic **“Le Corsaire”** (Jan. 15) as well as the operettas **“Im weißen Rössl”** (Jan. 31) and **“Die Fledermaus”** (Feb. 26), Bad Elster will offer thrilling musical theater. The program also features highlights such as a classic **Heinz Erhardt evening** (Jan. 3), major **symphony concerts** (Feb. 12 and 27), and winter stars like **Ferdinand von Schirach** (Jan. 9 and 10), **Alfons** (January 30), **Tom Pauls** (February 6 and 7), and **Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre** (February 19), as well as special festival evenings featuring **Julia Jäger &amp; Thomas Rühmann** (January 16), **Andreas Rebers** (Jan. 17), **Buddy in Concert** (Feb. 5), **Karussell** (Feb. 14), the **Comedy-Physiopath** (Feb. 20), a **Celtic music show** (Feb. 21), and much more—all offering exclusive winter wonderland experiences in a unique setting.

***World of Lights &amp; Experience Region:***
As part of this winter cultural festival, the Royal Grounds of Bad Elster will once again be transformed into a dazzling **world of lights**: Numerous artistic illuminations creatively highlight the historic complex, giving it a whole new, luminous dimension! Festival visitors can round out their adventure-filled stay in this music and winter sports region by enjoying the unique **wellness facilities of the Albert Bad withits saltwater thermal baths in Bad Elster or** the idyllically situated **bathing and sauna area in Bad Brambach**. The Upper Vogtland region can also be explored at **the Perlmutter Experience Museum in Adorf** or the famous **Musical Instrument Museum in Markneukirchen**.
