The car plants of Porsche and BMW are worth a visit. Our state capital Dresden, with Frauenkirche, Zwinger, Semperoper, and Blue Wonder, must be on your list. Peace and relaxation are also offered by the nearby Rabensteiner Forest, Rabenstein Castle, or the Pelzmühlenteich with its adjoining zoo (day hike). A city tour in Chemnitz is also recommended. This includes various museums (Industrial Museum, Railway Museum, Municipal Art Collections, Opera House, House Tietz, Red Tower, among others).
