============================

- Nature discovery trail

Two children play on a large wooden model of a beetle in the forest; one girl looks out of an opening while another climbs in.

A laughing child in a blue jacket looks out of a wooden play structure designed like an insect in a forest.

Pile of wood in the forest with green signs for the Hinterhermsdorf forest hut and the Saxon Switzerland National Park, surrounded by trees.

A little girl in a pink jacket looks at an information sign in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, surrounded by forest.

This visitor center at the Saxon Switzerland National Park is an open-air nature and adventure trail with interactive stations.

Accessibility

**Saxony Barrier-Free**

**Accessibility Information**
The trails not only pass by small and (spatially) large information and interactive stations that invite visitors to explore and participate, but also offer the opportunity to visit the National Park Administration’s two accessible information centers "" and “Blockscheune” to learn more about forest management in the national park region. Unfortunately, a few **short, steep (!) (some < 10%)** sections of the trail—especially around the large, centrally located meadow—mean that these routes in the are not marked as wheelchair-accessible.
However, with **sufficient assistance from helpers**, the tour shown here on the map can also be enjoyed by wheelchair users; however, you should always expect rocky terrain on the designated wheelchair-accessible hiking trails. In addition, there is a very well-equipped accessible restroom in an adjacent building right next to the Beizehaus, which is accessible via EuroKey.
