Blockhausen is located in the forest near Dorfchemnitz. The natural idyll with imposing huts and the longest table in the world enjoys a worldwide reputation - not least because of the chainsaw carvings of the highest international standard.

It is also possible to take the Freiberg railroad to Mulda or Nassau station and hike from there to Blockhausen (approx. 5 km each way/station).

Special events take place on site on various dates throughout the year: 
Easter Sunday and Easter Monday; 1 May; Mother's Day; Men's Day; Whitsun; 3 October and 3rd weekend in October 
In addition, events such as birthdays, weddings, etc. are also organized.
