We follow this to its end. A few meters before this, from the right comes the regional hiking trail Schöneck – Grünbach, marked with green bars on a white background. It begins at the Meiler. We leave Roter Muldenweg to the left, cross the railway line and the S302. From now on until Grünbach we follow the regional hiking trail. The surface is a well-compacted sanded gravel cover. After about 3 km, the Musikantensteig comes in from the right. We have reached the highest point of the hike. From now on, it goes almost only downhill to the S304. We must follow this for a few meters to the left without a sidewalk. After about 150 m, a sidewalk begins on the left side of the street. We follow Muldenberger Straße to Krumme Straße, which is on the right side. We follow this to Bahnhofstraße, into which we turn right. There are plenty of parking spaces directly at the train station. Hikers using the train should register at least 24 hours before the start of the journey. On the train, we were always met by friendly staff who were helpful during boarding and alighting.For the return journey, we used the Vogtlandbahn.
