Directions

Start at St. **Johanniskirche**, built in 1122 and also marking the founding of Plauen. Cycle down Schulberg and turn right twice to reach the **convent building** of Komturhof (1244). The Komturhof was the seat of the German Order in Vogtland. Cycle along the mill ditch past the weaver houses and the Weisbach house, continue over the Dürer bridge along the Weiße Elster to **Straßberg**. There, the church is the former seat of the Vögte zu Straßberg. Continue along the Elster Cycle Path to **Kürbitz**, where you can visit the Salvatorkirche. The key is available at the adjacent parish office. You can refresh yourself at the Zschäck inn.

Continue on the Elster Cycle Path towards Oberweischlitz, past Kürbitz cemetery, and finally arrive at **Weischlitz**. At the end of the street, turn right. You reach the town center at the Old Manor, where the town hall is also located.

Cross the Weiße Elster over the wooden bridge and follow the Elster Cycle Path further to **Pirk**. Between the district Türpel and Göswein, use the federal road B 173 - please ride carefully here. At the Göswein hiking car park, turn right towards Magwitz, but then continue straight towards Taltitz. You pass the campsite of the Pirk reservoir and cycle straight along the shore to the **Taltitz youth hostel**. Then cycle to the district "Neue Welt" (industrial area) and follow the cycle path towards Oelsnitz. You cross the B 92 and enter Oelsnitz via Untermarxgrün. Behind the Theuma junction, turn left. Via Windmühlenweg, you reach the destination **Voigtsberg Castle.**
