Directions

The route starts at the tourist information Schöneck. From here you ride into the charcoal burner area and on past the former sawmill, keep left on the path, cross first the railway tracks and then the street towards Muldenberg. After a few intersections and a small climb, you reach a wooden hut, which offers a first resting place. Then continue to the right of the hut on the Musikantensteig to Grünbach. About halfway along the path is the Rehhübelfelsen, followed shortly by the small and large Affenstein. An information board provides a good overview and the rock is easily accessible. And just like that, we have reached Grünbach. We follow the street for a short stretch, turn right, and arrive at our first place to eat, the "Bayerischer Hof" in Grünbach.

Then continue on the old Muldenberg street, past a small pond of the fishing club to Muldenberg. On this stretch there is a small climb, which can be avoided by taking the path turning left. You reach the new Muldenberg street, ride a little section to the left of the street, before crossing the railway crossing and turning right opposite the restaurant "Haus Muldenberg".

The path runs directly along the log flume, where wood was previously transported by water. We follow this to the raft place, where much about the history of rafting is explained. We continue up the road on the right, after about 100m you find on the left a small place with a raft to try yourself, diagonally opposite is the restaurant Bergschlösschen. Opposite here our bike path turns left into "Talsperrenstraße" and leads us directly to the Muldenberg reservoir. The dam is walkable and offers a great view of the reflecting water surface and the swimming pond Muldenberg. This is only a stone's throw away and invites you to a little refreshment. Opposite is the restaurant "Flößerstube".

After a long break, the path takes us back along the blue marking to Schöneck, where we arrive again at the sawmill and charcoal burner.
