Read more Good to know ------------ Pavements Unknown (2%) Street (36%) Asphalt (41%) Gravel (11%) Trail (5%) Path (4%) Best to visit suitable Depends on weather - Jan - Feb - Mar - Apr - May - Jun - Jul - Aug - Sep - Oct - Nov - Dec Directions Schirgiswalde hiking parking lot at Gondelteich – over bridge – left along the forest edge – “Kleinseite” to Spree bridge – right along “Niedergasse”, towards Crostau – follow “Schirgiswalder Straße”, “Wurbiser Straße” to “Café am Schloss” – left into the park, then downhill keeping left into “Bergstraße”, past “Grüne Aue” to the nature trail Horken – turn right to “Parkstraße” – turn left at the inn “Deutscher Kaiser” (km 6) – follow the federal road – turn right onto the old railway track and continue along it – alongside Weigsdorfer pond – then turn right onto “Zur Rabinke” and continue into “Reichenstraße” – briefly on main street, turn left – straight ahead to the inn “Deutsches Haus” – junction to Schönberg – after 40 m turn right into “Schlosskellergasse” – Germany’s largest village church – continue on “Kirchweg” and later turn into “Neue Sorge”, past Teichmühlteich to the festival site – follow “Czornebohstraße” to the residential area Friedensaue, past childcare facility – use “Wilhelmvon-Polenz-Straße” – follow “Schanzenweg” – to Polenz Park – north through Polenz Park to the main street – after about 200 m turn left from the main street onto the cycle path – ride on this gravel forest path to the fork, then turn left onto paved road – continue on this road to the parking lot – right towards Hochkirch (steep slope, poor road!) – after just under 2 km village Wuischke – at the village pond turn right and follow road markings towards Hochkirch – cross B6 in Hochkirch – through “Schlustraße” past the church to the exit towards Pommritz – railway crossing (km 23) – after about 200 m follow Drehsa, Canitz-Christina, Baschütz – Niederkaina to the Bautzen-East industrial area – at the junction “Muskauer Straße” in the new development area Gesundbrunnen turn left into “Muskauer Straße” – towards the centre, cross 2 junctions straight ahead – use street “Am Stadtwall”, continue left into “Taschenberg” then right into “Gerberstraße” – “Am Gerbertor”, turn left into “Unterm Schloss” street – follow the Spreeradweg from here – “Mühlstraße” – pass under Friedensbrücke – turn left on “Heilig-Geist-Brücke” into “Bleichenstraße” – cross pedestrian bridge, “Neusche Promenade” – shortly after Spreebad into “Grubschützer Weg”, past Humboldthain – Grubschütz – continue along the Spreeradweg through Doberschau, Singwitz, Obergurig, Großpostwitz, Eulowitz, Rodewitz, Kirschau, Schirgiswalde to the hiking parking lot at Gondelteich.
