Directions

Orientation is provided by signage with the logo of the Muskau Fold Belt with the additional symbol of a small dragon. From the starting point Guesthouse "Zur Linde," it first runs parallel to the B 115 towards Weißwasser. The Drachenberge geopark trail turns left into the forest about 150 m after leaving the village. On a straight path, you walk through the pine forest directly towards the Drachenberge. At first, the path is quite easy, but the closer you get to the Drachenberge, the more demanding the terrain becomes. Shortly before the Drachenberg, the highest elevation in the Saxon part of the geopark at 162.8 m, hikers cross the largest gieser in the Muskau Fold Belt before it goes quite steeply uphill. Once at the top, you walk leisurely left along the ridge's circular path. But beware – please take the small trodden path here! Here, hikers enjoy a beautiful view into the old mining area of the former Caroline II mine. It then continues initially along the ridge eastward and later northward back to the starting point.
