The Lutherweg leads the hiker here through the southern Leipzig Neuseenland, a reclaimed former open-pit mining area with many lakes and an interesting history. Every year, numerous tourists from Germany and abroad visit this area, where you can relax while hiking, cycling, or enjoying water sports.

The path is easy to walk because it runs on cycle paths and on paved trails. Between various lakes, the path leads to Neukieritzsch, where the Luther monument on the town square of the municipality recalls the former Zöllsdorf estate. Directions

In Borna, you start on Reichsstraße and then go via the market to Kirchstraße. Over the Brühl and the Pegauer Gate, it goes into Abtsdorfer Straße. Follow this to Lobstädter Straße. Following Lobstädter Straße, the Lutherweg passes the town of Lobstädt to Neukieritzsch. In Neukieritzsch, turn into Alte Poststraße, where this stage ends.
