First of all, we would like to warmly welcome you to our small town of Augustusburg. We are very pleased that you have found your way to us and have decided to discover Augustusburg with the help of our Rhododendron Trail.This trail originated from a project by the Augustusburg High School and was initiated by students of the 6th and 7th grades. Along this route, which runs through the entire town and Augustusburg Castle, you will be provided with many pieces of information about the rhododendrons themselves, the history of Augustusburg, and individual buildings.

Rhododendrons have long been a part of Augustusburg's history and greatly shape the town's appearance. For this reason, the idea for the Augustusburg Rhododendron Trail was born.
