The route goes through the city of Plauen towards Möschwitz to the Pöhl dam. Further via Neuensalz and Droszdorf, Taltitz around the Pirk dam to Oelsnitz. From Oelsnitz via Schöneck past the Muldenberg dam to Hammerbrücke, Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz towards Schönheide and the Eibenstock dam. From Schönheide it goes northwards to Steinberg, Lengenfeld, Reichenbach and Greiz. Further to Langenwetzendorf (detour to the Hohenleuben dam), Mehla and Triebes (detour to the Weida dam) as well as to the Zeulenroda dam. From Zeulenroda it goes via Pausa back to Plauen to the starting point.
