Muskau Park/Park Mużakowski
Located in the north of Saxony and right by the Polish border, Muskau Park/Park Mużakowski is all about romance and English landscape design. Created by Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau between 1815 and 1845, the largest English-style landscape park on European mainland features lakes, a small river, hundreds of thousands of trees and even a palace – all arranged as if in an oversized painting. This masterpiece of landscaping has been UNESCO-listed since 2004.

Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden
Grosssedlitz Baroque Garden southeast of Dresden was laid out by Christoph August von Wackerbarth, Augustus the Strong's “Minister of Construction”, first for himself and then for his ruler. The grand ensemble is considered a beautiful example of the French formal garden style and also known as the "Versailles of Saxony". The terraced grounds were used by the members of the Dresden court for their glamorous festivities. Today, visitors can delight in magnificent buildings such as the Upper and Lower Orangery, outside staircases, water features, sandstone sculptures, decorative vases and exotic plants as well as 400 potted plants – an overwhelming experience in the best possible way!

Pillnitz Palace and Park
Pillnitz Palace and Park just outside Dresden and by the Elbe River served as a summer residence for the Saxon royal family and is a delightful ensemble of Baroque pleasure garden, English garden, Chinese garden and water palace in the Chinoiserie style. Built by Augustus the Strong, the palace grounds are surrounded by a magnificent park with more than 2,000 trees and shrubs, over 600 potted plants, around 35,000 blossoms in spring, chestnut avenues and a 230-year-old Japanese camellia. Don’t miss the red gondola which was used by Elector Friedrich August III of Saxony to commute on the river between Pillnitz and the Royal Palace in Dresden. Today, visitors can enjoy this ride on historic steamboats of Weisse Flotte Dresden.
