EURORANDO 2026 is a unique Europe-wide hiking event that highlights the Ore Mountains as a cross-border hiking region in the heart of Europe and brings together thousands of hiking enthusiasts from all over Europe — featuring unforgettable hikes, a diverse supporting program, and the opportunity to gain insight into the culture and traditions of the Ore Mountains.
From September 20 to 27, 2026, the Ore Mountains will become a hub for European hiking and nature enthusiasts: EURORANDO 2026 invites hiking enthusiasts from all over Europe to the fascinating natural and cultural landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří Mining Region. For the first time, the event will take place across national borders, bringing together the most beautiful hiking trails on both sides of the German-Czech border.

The picturesque Fichtelberg and Keilberg region in the heart of Europe expects around 7,000 overnight guests from approximately 15 European countries, as well as numerous day visitors. You can choose from more than 50 guided and self-guided hikes that allow you to discover the region’s extraordinary nature, history, and culture. From leisurely strolls and themed routes to challenging long-distance hikes, there’s a dream tour for everyone.

The supporting program reflects the region’s vibrant culture and traditions: exhibitions, concerts, and a market featuring regional products offer ample opportunity to enjoy the Ore Mountains with all your senses. The festivities will culminate on September 26, 2026, with a grand parade from Boží Dar to Oberwiesenthal.

Note: The event is co-financed by the EU through an Interreg funding project. Information about the funding project can be found here.
