Historic-Romantic Christmas Market Königstein Fortress

It is considered one of the most beautiful not only in Saxony, but also in Germany: the Christmas market at Königstein Fortress. The elaborately staged spectacle high above the Elbe attracts visitors with traditional goods, old craftsmanship, handmade music, puppet shows and real animals in the nativity scene. Part of the market takes place in underground sandstone vaults.

The SterneDom: a magical sound and light experience

Countless Herrnhut stars bathe the Dunkle Appareille, the historic fortress staircase, in atmospheric light and create a mystical atmosphere in the sandstone vaults filled with Gregorian chants.
