Experience the miners' last shift before Christmas.

The annual Metten shift is a very old tradition of the miners, which was carried out differently in the individual mining regions. It was the last shift before Christmas Eve, when the miners got together with their miners. The miners sat together comfortably, told each other little stories and sang songs, while eating and drinking.

Our guests celebrate together in the underground engine room decorated with candles and brushwood in a unique atmosphere.
Visitors are entertained with a program of music and typical Erzgebirge dialect and are served refreshments by members of the association.
Simple dishes such as black bread with bacon and bacon fat and a bowl of lentils, as well as cold and hot drinks are also included in the price. A guided tour is not included in the price, but can be arranged on request before the event.
