Just a few steps from Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen and right next to the entrance to Meissen Cathedral, the Café am Dom invites you to enjoy a delightful break on the historic castle hill. The historic building dates back to 1526 and uniquely combines historic charm with modern comfort.
Inside the cozy, historic barrel-vaulted ceiling, guests are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The café spoils its guests with a varied selection of homemade cakes and pastries, specialty coffees, lovingly prepared ice cream sundaes, and small snacks for when hunger strikes. The menu is rounded out by Saxon wines and freshly tapped beer.
The spacious terrace, with seating for about 70, is particularly popular. Here, when the weather is nice, visitors can enjoy the sun and take in the view of the historic Burgberg and Meissen’s Old Town.
