Idyllically situated in the middle of the forest and right on the picturesque Röhrgraben, this snack bar has been a popular destination for hikers, day-trippers, and those seeking peace and quiet for over 20 years. Since May 2026, following the retirement of its longtime owner, this traditional destination has been under new management, which is running it with fresh ideas and a lot of passion.
The offerings are tailored entirely to the needs of hikers and nature lovers: regional food and drinks—many of them lovingly homemade—ensure an enjoyable break surrounded by nature. Even on rainy days, everything is taken care of—a cozy cabin offers shelter from inclement weather, while during the winter months, a small warming room invites you to warm up. A cozy dining room with space for up to 32 people provides the ideal setting for festive occasions.

A special highlight is the magnificent view toward the Fichtelberg. Likewise, the lovingly designed entrance area of the Greifenstein Tunnel tells the story of the region’s rich mining history and makes your visit a special experience.

A worthwhile destination for anyone who wants to explore the Greifenbach Valley and combine nature, history, and regional hospitality.
