From the European city of Görlitz/Zgorzelec to the gates of the state capital Dresden and from the Zittau Mountains to the Spreewald, there are many valuable cultural and natural treasures. The starting point of the journey is Bautzen. The silhouette of the 1000-year-old town towers impressively over the River Spree. The city of towers is the cultural centre of the Sorbs, the smallest Slavic people in Germany. You can also immerse yourself in the urban masterpiece of Görlitz with its more than 4000 cultural monuments. Discover also the Zittau Mountains with its unique Zittau fasting cloths.

Itinerary

Day 1: Rammenau - stylish Baroque
You arrive in Rammenau today. There you will visit the baroque Rammenau Palace. End the evening with a cozy dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Bautzen and Herrnhut - history and traditions
Today you start with a guided tour of Bautzen. Afterwards, it will be very Christmassy on a guided tour of the Herrnhut star factory. The day ends with a traditional dinner in the Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik in Bautzen.

Day 3: Görlitz and Ostritz - in the border triangle
Welcome to Görliwood - you explore the city with a guide. There is a guided tour of the "Holy Sepulchre" in Görlitz. Then it's on to the St. Marienthal monastery in Ostritz.

Day 4: Zittau Mountains - Saxon-Bohemian cultural landscape
Today you will visit Zittau with a guided tour of the town. Afterwards you will have a guided tour of the "Zittau Lenten Cloths". Afterwards, there is pure nature with a round trip through the Zittau Mountains. This includes a guided tour of the Oybin mountain church. You will take the narrow-gauge railroad to Jonsdort and then return to the hotel.
