LORTZING 26

To mark the 225th anniversary of Albert Lortzing's birth and 175th anniversary of his death, the LORTZING 26 festival will take place in Leipzig from April 24 to May 3, 2026. In addition to Lortzing's well-known operas, lesser-known works by the former Leipzig composer will also be presented, making it possible to approach Lortzing's life and work from a different perspective.

Experience 3 of his works over 3 days (with an optional extension for even more musical enjoyment), get to know the Musikalische Komödie as another important venue in Leipzig alongside the opera and discover the highlights of the city of music on a guided tour with a look "behind the scenes" and a city tour through the historic city center. Culinary delights are guaranteed at the traditional Barthels Hof restaurant.
