Schloss Lichtenwalde: Schlossführung

Just outside the gates of Chemnitz lies the enchanting Baroque ensemble of Schloss & Park Lichtenwalde. In the warm season, the castle park, with its floral splendor and romantic water features, is a poem. Throughout the year, exciting collections featuring treasures from around the world and spectacular experiential exhibitions delight the spirit inside the castle. The Baroque castle of Lichtenwalde with its adjoining park is a true gem. In its 800-year history, the castle has seen many turning points and owners come and go. On our tour through the castle chapel, castle courtyard, and historical salons, we will look together at the former residents of the castle, architectural changes, and the varying uses over the past centuries. Particularly in the Count's representative rooms, we can sense the splendor of earlier times.
