Even from afar, you will notice the new buildings of Leipzig University at Augustusplatz: they are impressive, modern, and unusual. We invite you to join us on a tour through 600 years of university history and across the campus! Discover the new campus at Augustusplatz with us. You will learn where Leipzig University has its roots, which ideas were central to the planning of the new buildings, and which artistic treasures can be found in the new structures today. The tour focuses on the New Augusteum and the Paulinum, including an interior visit (if no university events are taking place inside). The history of the old Paulinerkirche and, above all, its reconstruction will be discussed. You will gain insights into student life – both from studying in the 24-hour library and from celebrating in the Moritzbastei.
