Albrechtsburg Castle in Meissen
August the Strong, the Elector of Saxony, had the first European porcelain factory built here in 1710. With historical wall paintings dating back to the 19th century, it presents a true picture book of Saxon history.

- A4 exit Siebenlehn and continue on the B101 or exit Wilsdruff

Parking facilities:
Parking spaces are located on the Elbe river with direct access to the castle via the Schlossparkstufen on Leipziger Straße and below the Burgberg in Meisastraße and in the parking deck at the lift to the Burgberg.
Bicycle:
the Elbe cycle path passes below the castle mountain, on the cycle path there is a sign to the Albrechtsburg Meissen/Dom
Airport Dresden:
Direction Boxdorf – Reichenberg – Moritzburg – Auer – Weinböhla – Meissen, the airport is about 30 km away
City tour of Meissen:
A bus runs between the stops Albrechtsburg Meissen/Dom, Markt and Porzellan-Manufaktur every 30 minutes from April to October.
Steamship:
The Sächsische Steamschifffahrt offers round trips to Albrechtsburg Meissen.
