The Chemnitz Industrial Museum showcases the major milestones of the past three centuries of industrial development.

Built over 100 years ago, this factory complex with its striking arched facade is now home to the Chemnitz Industrial Museum. Through a combination of modern glass architecture, the museum traces the history of Saxony’s industry from its beginnings to the present day. From historic textile machines and the still-functioning single-cylinder back-pressure steam engine from 1896 to modern industrial robots. The museum invites visitors to marvel and discover. Milestones spanning three centuries of industrial development showcase technical masterpieces. Legendary vehicles and machines “Made in Saxony” breathe new life into the Saxons’ spirit of innovation and engineering prowess.
