Directions & Parking facilities

Passenger car:
Parking around the theatre square is not permitted. However, a short stop for getting in and out of the car is possible.
- Behind the Semperoper there is a public underground car park (Devrientstraße, about 200 meters on foot)
- Parking garage Frauenkirche (Schießgasse and Landhausstraße 2)
- House at the Zwinger (Kleine Brüdergasse 3)
- Parking garage at the Altmarkt (Wilsdruffer Straße)

The nearest bus parking spaces are located at the Zwingerteich, under the Carolabrücke and on the Pieschener Allee at the Marienbrücke.

Arrival by bus and train:
The Semperoper is easily accessible by tram from the nearby main station as well as from Dresden-Neustadt train station.

- From the main station: tram line 8 (direction Hellerau)
- Central Station North: tram line 9 (direction Kaditz) directly to the Theaterplatz
- Dresden-Neustadt train station: tram line 11 (direction Zschertnitz) to Postplatz – only a few minutes walk to Theaterplatz

The tickets of the Saxon State Theatre entitle you to use the entire public transport system in the Oberelbe (VVO) area during the performance visit if they bear the VVO logo.
