Großer Garten Dresden

  • Park/garden
In the Großen Garten Dresden the landscape art meets leisure culture.
From the unspoilt park forest to the baroque symmetry of the ornamental beds in the center around the palace, you can walk through all kinds of garden art. Countless baroque sculptures, the open-air concert stage "Junge Garde", the Carola pond with rowing boat rental and the Carola castle for coffee and cake can be discovered just as well as the stations and trains of the park railroad. Dresdeners use the Großer Garten at any time of the year for excursions, skating, relaxation and, as soon as the Carola Pond is frozen over, also for skating.
