Information National Park Management Schweizerhaus Bastei
In the historical part of the hotel – the "Schweizerhaus" – works of art like paintings, etchings or maps and postcards showing landscape impressions of Saxon Switzerland between the seventeenth and twentieth century are presented. Artists were walking on a preferred trail through Saxon Switzerland when they found the motifs for their impressive works.
Today this attractive path is called the Malerweg. By the way! If you are interested in drawing a comparison between artistic impressions and their natural models, then book our special offer "Hiking without luggage on the Malerweg". For further information please contact the hotel reception.
