Lehmann Winery

  • Wine-growing estate
At the bend in the Elbe River north of Meissen, spring arrives a little earlier and fall lingers a little longer. That is why this region is called the “Saxon Riviera.”
The Lehmann Winery is a vineyard in Diesbar-Seußlitz near Meissen. The Lehmann family has been growing grapes since 1931, and the business is now in its third generation. This makes it one of the first wineries established after German reunification. On over 5 hectares of vineyards at the Seußlitzer Heinrichsburg site, the estate grows classic Saxon varieties as well as exotic ones such as Blauer Zweigelt, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gold and Roter Muskateller. Wine is served on the terrace on Saturdays and Sundays in the style of a traditional “Besenwirtschaft” (wine tavern).
