Main Church St. Marien Kamenz
The sight balcony of the church St. Marien provides you with the best sight across the “Lessing“ city Kamenz. The hall church is unique for its granite construction and impresses visitors owing to its situation, which is in the North of the Alps. The famous Walcker organ dated back to the 1891 is recognized to be the most enormously outstanding sound equipment, which is sounded at services and organ concerts. The altar´s vestibule is ornamented with grave stones of the Family Gotthold Ephraim Lessing whose father was the church minister in Kamenz.
