MDR Symphonic Orchestra

The MDR SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA is the radio orchestra of Central Germany and one of the oldest in the world. The musicians can be admired regularly during the historic concert series "Magic and Music" und at the matinees in the Leipzig Gewandhaus. The varied CD productions or concert broadcasts at the Kulturradio MDR FIGARO, where the orchestra can be regularly heard, offer a musical foretaste. With the performances of modern and contemporary works and innovative programmes the ensemble rightfully earned its reputation in the past and present.
