Michael Sailstorfer - Floating equilibrium

  • Gallery

Directly above the Zschopau river, houses, trees, people, the sky and the flowing water are reflected in a circular mirror at a height of 4.50 meters.

The internationally renowned sculptor Michael Sailstorfer created an impressive installation on the banks of the Zschopau with "Fließgleichgewicht". Inspired by the motorcycle mirrors of the legendary MZ models, the sculpture recalls Zschopau's history as a motorcycle town and refers to the natural law of equilibrium.
