SACHSENarena Riesa

The SACHSENarena is one of the largest event halls in east Germany.

A wide variety of cultural events fills thousands of seats in the SACHSENarena every year, one of the largest event venues in the east of Germany. The ambience of the arena balcony bears the resemblance to an Italian piazza, setting the stage for small concerts or events. Besides cultural events, there is hardly an athletic discipline that has not been staged at the erdgas arena including ice hockey, football, sumo, swimming, dancing, weight-lifting, boxing, gymnastics, freestyle motocross or even handball: this is where the world and European champions meet and battle it out.
