Stasi Memorial on Bautzner Strasse

Monument that impressively conveys the handling of the people during the dictatorship of the Socialist Unity Party or the Soviet occupation period.

The Bautzner Straße Memorial is the former remand prison and regional office of the East German Ministry of State Security (Stasi) in Dresden.

The original Stasi prison and the Soviet detention cellar illustrate how the state sponsored repressive apparatus tried to eliminate its political opponents. In the office of the head of the Dresden Stasi, you can listen to recordings and learn about how the Stasi worked
