Years of manufacturing history and breathtaking craftsmanship can be admired in the state-owned porcelain factory Meissen.

The state-owned porcelain manufactory Meissen is reviving more than 300 years of manufacturing history. The oldest porcelain factory in Europe is closely linked to the city of Meissen. Located on the Elbe, it is not far from the cultural metropolis Dresden.
The museum invites guests on a journey through time and celebrates fine craftsmanship. Exclusive insights into the development of porcelain are presented in the exhibition workshop. Various exhibitions and events offer a year-round opportunity to discover and marvel. The MEISSEN Café provides culinary delights. To enjoy Meissen craftsmanship in your own home, the in-house porcelain shop invites you to browse and shop.

FAMILY TIME IN THE MEISSEN EXPERIENCE
Touch it, try it out, join in and be amazed - families have a wide range of opportunities to experience porcelain up close in the Meissen Adventure World. In the demonstration workshop, the production of the world-famous Meissen porcelain can be experienced and in the museum you can marvel at our history and see a globally unique overview of the overall development of Meissen porcelain. After your visit, Café Meissen invites you to take a break and the MEISSEN stores inspire you with magical gift ideas.

CHILDREN'S RALLY With the free WiFi in Haus Meissen, an exciting children's rally with tablets through the museum is possible. Our youngest guests go on a MEISSEN safari with Rhino and discover the characters from a completely new perspective or solve an exciting puzzle with a treasure map.
CREATIVE WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN On various dates, children can imaginatively paint their very own unique piece in a workshop.
GUIDING THE SENSES Can you actually hear and taste porcelain? How does it smell when it's painted? How does it feel to feel a figure blindly? The guided tour of the senses is dedicated to these questions and many more and turns amazed children into skilled experts in no time at all.
KNIGGE COURSE FOR CHILDREN Are you ready for a table? Easier said than done. In the little etiquette course, the kids get to know the rules of table and table culture.
