Saxony’s largest wooden play castle, featuring a 10-meter slide, a cube world, and a play trail with wooden toys. “Knirpsenland” for very young visitors, a parents’ playground, a craft workshop, and a snack bar offering light refreshments. In our historic granary, nestled in the heart of the medieval Saigerhütte, you’ll find 1,100 square meters of play space spread across three floors, featuring activity areas for running around, sliding, and climbing—as well as areas for quiet, interactive play and role-playing—and what makes us special: everything here is made of WOOD! On nice days, the connection to the 800-square-meter outdoor area with its fairy-tale maze is a special experience. Please bring a CHANGE OF SHOES.

Directions & Parking facilities

Anreise
Olbernhau is accessible via the A4 Erfurt–Görlitz, A14 Leipzig–Nossen, A17 Dresden–Prague, and A72 Hof–Leipzig highway network. At the Chemnitz Süd exit, leave the A72 highway toward Marienberg (Prague). Drive on the B 174 to Marienberg, then turn onto the B 171 toward Olbernhau. The distance from Chemnitz-Süd is approximately 50 km. If you’re traveling from Dresden via the A4, we recommend taking the Siebenlehn exit toward Freiberg. Take the B 101 to Großhartmannsdorf or Pockau and simply follow the signs to Olbernhau. The distance from Siebenlehn is approximately 60 km.
In Olbernhau, please follow the signs to Saigerhütte.

Parken
The parking lot on Rothenthaler Straße is the perfect spot for visitors to the Saigerhütte historic complex. Visitors to the Stockhausen Play and Adventure World have only a short walk from this parking lot. Rothenthaler Straße Parking Lot.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
The Deutsche Bahn network connects all parts of Germany to Chemnitz in Saxony, for example via Leipzig, Erfurt, Dresden, or Nuremberg.
From Chemnitz, you can reach Olbernhau in about an hour by taking the Erzgebirgsbahn. The Flöhatalbahn line between Chemnitz and Olbernhau runs hourly on weekdays and every two hours on weekends and holidays. Stockhausen is located at the terminus, Olbernhau-Grünthal.
