Theatre Zwickau
The Gewandhaus, built in 1525 as guild and trading house of the cloth workers guild, at the principal market next to the guildhall is a real treasure. In the historic rooms, the Theatre Plauen-Zwickau has set up its main venue. Since the Weber opera "The Freeshooter" was heard at the opening in 1823, the theatre with its repertoire from operas and exceptional musicals, spoken theatres and puppet theatres to concert cycles provides its audience with unforgettable experiences.
