The cycling route follows the former Wilsdruff narrow-gauge network in the Tharandt Forest combined with the cycle path network "Around Wilsdruff" and the "Cycle Path on the Silver Road" (D4) in the SachsenNetz Rad. Along the way, you encounter not only historical evidences of the railway, including the narrow-gauge railway museum in Wilsdruff, but also natural and cultural monuments of the region between Freital, Tharandt, and Wilsdruff.

Directions
- From the dome hall in Tharandt, you follow the "Cycle Path on the Silver Road" (D4) first to Fördergersdorf and then via the Fürstenweg to Spechtshausen. From Pohrsdorf, you follow the "Cycle Path Around Wilsdruff" through the villages of Landberg, Grund, Mohorn, Helbigsdorf, and Limbach to Wilsdruff. From here, you follow the "Cycle Path along the Narrow-Gauge Railway" via Grumbach, Kesselsdorf, and Niederhermsdorf to Wurgwitz. Via Edgar-Rudolph-Weg, continue southeast to the Freital districts of Zauckerode and Potschappel. Here you switch back to the "Cycle Path on the Silver Road" (D4) and return to Tharandt via Deuben and Hainsberg. Alternatively, a return trip by S-Bahn S3 from Potschappel to Tharandt is possible (Fare zone Freital VVO).
