Directions

From the Kuppelhalle Tharandt, follow the hiking trail marked with a green dot initially to Freital. The Somsdorfer Straße leads along the Mühlgraben with the ENSO energy experience path marking to the entrance of the Rabenauer Grund. Alternatively, you can reach the Freital-Coßmannsdorf stop of the Weißeritztalbahn via Hainsberger Straße and the street "An der Spinnerei." Passing the Hains shopping and leisure center, you come to the Rote Weißeritz and upstream through the Rabenauer Grund. Crossing the Arthur-Lohse Bridge, climb steeply up to the Sagenweg. This hillside path leads to the Chair Museum and then to the Rabenauer Mill. Then it goes downstream until the yellow dash marking leads through the Teufelsklamm to Somsdorf and then back to the Kuppelhalle Tharandt.

Alternatively, a return trip is possible with the Weißeritztalbahn Rabenau – Freital and the S-Bahn S3 / RB 30 Freital – Tharandt (Fare zone Freital VVO).

Note: Both the ascent to the Sagenweg and the path through the Somsdorfer Klamm require surefootedness.
