Directions
The start is at Grünhainichen/Borstendorf station. We walk to the right towards Rochhaus mill. From there, it goes steeply uphill to Grünhainichen. At Marbacher street, we turn left into the village and walk to the outdoor music box. It presents itself magnificently and uniquely in its summer or winter version. After crossing the main road, passing the advertising column, we hike down Mühlenstraße, past the Spanzieh mill to the Flöha river. Arriving at the mill square, a resting place invites you to picnic. Following the marking, we walk to the so-called swing bridge (now a covered wooden bridge) and cross it. The hike continues towards the Black mill. Here is the location of the former only butter mold engraving shop in Germany - by Konrad Martin. Following the blue mill wheel, we cross a small wooden bridge, constantly go uphill, cross the Old Börnichen street up to the height at the antenna system. Signposts lead us through the forest, left to the Waldkirchen circular trail or right back to Grünhainichen on the nature trail. Downhill through the "Engeldorf" Grünhainichen with many artisans and manufactories, we can close the loop. If we walk further left, we cross the main street between Börnichen and Waldkirchen. Passing the wind turbine, through beautiful meadows with a view of Zschopau, we reach our last destination, the Rolle mill, on the marked hiking trail down to the valley. On Whit Monday, the German Mill Day, a wonderful celebration takes place here together with the blue dyers. Further over the Zschopau bridge, we reach Waldkirchen station.
