The trail leads past buildings steeped in history, such as the Hainsberg Town Hall, the Mehnert Mill, the Roller Mill, the Hope Church or even interesting places such as the Iron Cross, the Rabenauer Grund or the Freigut Heilsberg in the district of the present-day town of Freital, which was founded by the merger of coal mining and industrial communities with farming villages as recently as 1921.

- From the dome hall in Tharandt, take the Niederleitenweg (marked with a green dot) along the Wilde Weißeritz river into Freital. Passing the park Heilsbad you reach the Weißeritzpark with leisure center Hains. Continue on the cycle path along the Silberstraße (D4). On the way back to the dome hall Tharandt it goes past the baking oven rock. Alternatively, a return trip with S-Bahn S3 / RB 30 Freital - Tharandt is possible (tariff zone Freital VVO).
