The Pöbelknochen round trail near Schellerhau runs for about 7.7 km as a medium-difficulty route through quiet forests and over gentle hills.
The trail is prepared for both classical technique and skating. Thanks to moderate climbs and varied sections, the tour is perfect for those looking for a sporting yet relaxed cross-country skiing round.

Directions
- The start is at the central cross-country ski trail entrance (Loipentor) in Schellerhau. You follow the country road and turn left after about 800 m. Follow the signs, cross the Alte Zinnstraße. The loop runs around the Pöbelknochen. At the intersection with L2, turn sharply right to the fork. Follow this to the left, cross the Pöbelbachweg, and continue to follow the signs. After about 800 m straight ahead, turn right. This will take you back onto the country road and back to the starting point.
