Many great panoramic views and gems such as the Gelenau Fly Agaric, the Buschmühl pond, and the Tischl rest area await you on this route. The Bed of Encounter invites you to take a break with a great view.

The hike starts at Erlebnisland Kegelsberg with a first panoramic view from the observation tower. At the beginning, you walk along an educational trail. Turn left onto Eisenstraße, where the path passes gems like the "Fly Agaric" (left side) and the Kemtau Rock (short detour to the right). Now you reach meadows and fields and have a magnificent view of the Ore Mountains ridge. Continue to the picturesque Buschmühl pond and the "Tischl" rest area in the Abtwald forest. Then you pass the "Bed of Encounter" and the Pohl-Ströher collection depot, where a visit to the special exhibitions is worthwhile. With a wide-ranging view of one of the longest municipalities in Germany, the path leads you on Plattenstraße to the church and to the Gelenau town hall with its idyllic courtyard.

Start parking lot Erlebnisland Kegelsberg, Kemtauer St. uphill, left onto Eisenstraße and follow it to B95, cross the street, keep right towards Buschmühl pond, turn left to Tischl, after Tischl turn left towards Auerbach, keep left on Kohlweg along the forest edge, turn left to Bed of Encounter along the forest edge, right onto Willy-Poller-Straße, cross B95, left onto Emil-Werner-Weg to Depot Pohl-Ströher, right and then left onto Straße der Einheit, immediately right again and left further via Louis-Riedel-Weg, right field path to Plattenstraße, there left to the church, right onto Erich-Weinert-Weg, left onto forest path, cross Straße der Einheit, Rathausplatz, Kemtauer Str., back to the starting point
