The route goes through flat terrain with slight elevations on little-trafficked roads.
In 2007, Ronneburg was the co-host of the Federal Garden Show together with the city of Gera. Many areas were redesigned or newly created in preparation for the garden show. Much has changed in the city. Numerous sights invite a visit. These include the adventure mine with mining information center, Ronneburg Castle, the city park and the St. Marien church. A special highlight is the Neue Landschaft® Ronneburg with various attractions such as the large rose garden, Wismut exhibition, adventure bridge, climate adventure trail, event grandstand and discovery tower. Various bike and hiking trails run through the park. In addition, rest areas and playgrounds invite you to linger.

Directions
The starting point is the city park in Ronneburg. From here, continue to Paitzdorfer Straße - cross two railway crossings - asphalt road towards Paitzdorf - turn right onto the forest path. At the roundabout, bear half left on the forest path, continue into Paitzdorf, main street towards Reust. Leaving the village, turn left to Rückersdorf - towards Haselbach, turn right past the church and cemetery and after leaving the village turn right towards Nischwitz. In Nischwitz, leave the pond on the right, turn right at the church towards Großpillingsdorf - cross the main street to Ronneburg and head towards Blankenhain - follow the signs "Castle". Here you will find Blankenhain Castle with the German Agricultural Museum. From the castle, pass the windmill heading towards Nischwitz - cross the main street to Ronneburg - along the Sprotte river out of Nischwitz to Heukewalde - asphalt road to Posterstein. The Posterstein Castle with museum and mountain church should definitely be visited. Many half-timbered houses, the art and herb farm complete the village’s peaceful character. At the exit of Posterstein, take the asphalt road to Stolzenberg to the federal road B 7. Ride 300 m on the B 7 to Raitzhain and then continue on the B 7 bike path to Ronneburg, turning left to the city park.
