Easter is the greatest Christian festival. On Easter Sunday, the Easter riders set out in processions to proclaim the joyful message of the resurrection of Christ.

The Easter riders of this procession begin their elaborately prepared ride at 12:15 pm in Crostwitz. Via Schweinerden – a 45-minute break is taken – they ride to the St. Marienstern Monastery in Panschwitz-Kuckau. They arrive here at 2:30 pm. They continue immediately, then riding via Höflein, Räckelwitz and Caseritz to reach Crostwitz. Here they will be properly received at 5:00 pm.

Safety guidelines

Dear visitor, dear guests

Please note that horses are living beings (flight animals). Behave calmly and keep your distance from the procession in your own interest to avoid accidents. As a sign of your respect for our tradition, it would be nice if you showed restraint and silence when the Easter rider procession passes by.
