The church in Ruppertsgrün and Schönfels as an impressive medieval castle mark important interim stops.
The parish and the former monastery in Frankenhausen near Crimmitschau recall the Middle Ages in the Pleißenland.
Schmölln was raised to the status of a town by the Vögte between 1324 and 1329 and has one of the largest market squares in Central Germany.
