Route description:
The cycle route "Blue Reiterlein" is the longest of the Reiterlein cycle tours. It runs mostly on paths away from public roads and is therefore particularly suitable for families. The starting point is Gessingplatz, but the entry point can be varied as desired. Via Blumenau, Kleinneuschönberg - past the "Old School" which is today's youth center Kleinneuschönberg - the tour leads to Hallbach and Hutha. From this height you have a wonderful view of Olbernhau and the Flöha Valley. The route then continues to Voigtsdorf and Wolfsgrund to the farthest point: Stockhausen. On the way back Dorfchemnitz, Friedebach and Sayda are passed. On the Old Heidersdorf Road, past the Maschine and Relhök, we reach the Hand crossroads. Going downhill into the Flöha Valley the Gnade Gottes adit is passed and Olbernhau is reached.

- Start Olbernhau Gessingplatz - At Gessingplatz - cross Bahnhofstraße - turn left onto Steinbruchweg - behind the underpass turn right parallel to Zöblitzer Straße - cross Zöblitzer Straße straight ahead "An der Bahnlinie" - turn right Neuer Weg - turn left Pockauer Straße - turn right Stadtgutweg - cross Blumenauer Straße - turn left at Werksgraben - along the small brook - turn right Wiesenmühlenstraße – turn left Wiesenmühlenweg - turn right Kleinneuschönberger Straße – turn left Schulweg – turn left path to Hutha – turn right Siedlung – turn left Dorfstraße – Hallbach – after church turn left Huthaer Straße - before the forest turn right Huthaer Straße - Hutha - Neusorge – before Forchheim turn right towards Mittelflügeweg/Leinewebersteig and Kalkstraße – cross Kohlstraße - reach the Drei Tannen monument - turn right onto Dorfstraße - turn left towards S215, cross it - via Tännichtweg to S207, cross it - towards Voigtsdorf - over field paths to Wolfsgrund - continue to Stockhausen - back via Dorfchemnitz to Friedebach and Sayda - via the Old Heidersdorf Road past Maschine and Relhök - reach Hand crossroads - via Kalter Kober the path leads us to Gnade Gottes adit - through the residential area Poppsches Gut you reach Olbernhau
