Directions

Start at the Altenberg train station and follow the road toward Geisingberg. Before reaching the hill, turn left onto Hohe Straße. Follow the road straight through the Bärenstein–Wildpark intersection, then turn right and cross Talstraße. Now keep left toward Lauenstein. Head up to the castle and through the market square; at the cemetery, turn right onto Zschörnelweg. You’ll now pass the retention basin on your way to Fürstenwalde. Then keep left and ride briefly through the town until you can turn right toward Müglitz. Follow the road to Fürstenau and then downhill. On the left, you can turn off toward Traugotthöhe. The return route takes you through the Erdbach Valley, to the Kohlhaukuppe, and on to Zinnwald-Georgenfeld. Ride through the village to the Hotel Lugsteinhof, continue on to the Kahleberg, and head downhill via the I-Flügel, Alten Zaunhäuser Weg, and Querweg back to the starting point.
