Directions

Start at the senior home in Neumühle/Elster – turn left and walk about 80 m along the road to Nitschareuth – turn right, cross the road – following the marker, go straight for 150 m and take the forest path to the rest area 300 m away – turn left – serpentine uphill to the rest area "Bach-Goethe-Hain" (345 m above sea level) – turn right and walk 1.2 km along the ridge path to the nature reserve "Schieferfelsen" and rest area Lehnamühle (240 m above sea level) – after 100 m cross the village road – across the railway bridge through the village of Lehnamühle – turn left at the railway underpass – after 100 m go straight and after another 150 m turn slightly right onto a meadow path – after 200 m go straight and reach the forest – at the first signpost in the forest you should definitely follow the signage "Elsterperlenweg", here the path offers great views, but is very demanding and requires surefootedness!

(Currently, a detour route is marked here due to edge subsidence, please use only this detour until the path damage is repaired).

At the end of the path you will have a splendid view of the Elster valley – turn sharply left, 400 m uphill to the forest path junction – turn right onto "Mühlburschensteig" – following it leads the path 1.5 km to the signpost location Eulamühle (240 m above sea level) – after 20 m turn left on the serpentine path uphill, past the old quarry, after 1.5 km past "Herrenwiese" – cross the brook bridge – turn right, parallel to the Weiße Elster, after 1.2 km reach the lower Pfarrzipfel – steeply uphill by 80 altitude meters, following the staircase construction, to the upper Pfarrzipfel in the village of Zickra (320 m above sea level) – worth seeing: Kulturhof Zickra, along the Feldrainweg after 400 m intersection with rest area "Alte Poststraße" – turning right leads the Alte Poststraße back down to the Weiße Elster valley – cross the B 175, end of the stage at the former customs house (220 m above sea level).
