Brandplatz Berga – cross the B 175 – 150 m along the town hall – cross the street here – pass the city park – diagonally into the church square and turn right at the church into Kirchweg – at Kirchgraben 50 m onto Markersdorfer Weg, 900 m uphill to the Markersdorf intersection – straight at the intersection into the Culmitzsch valley – at the next crossroads turn right onto forest path 1.4 km along Culmitzschbach to Untergeißendorf – cross the village street and after 100 m turn left into Wiesenweg – follow this meadow and field edge path 1.7 km uphill – at the rest area and viewpoint "Alte Eulaer Straße" turn right – after 300 m slightly downhill, at the next rest area, turn left off the Alte Eulaer Straße – after 1 km on forest and meadow paths you reach the Mühlberg of Waltersdorf – at the crossroads at Mühlberg turn right – 1 km straight ahead towards Rüßdorf – turn left onto the field path and 500 m uphill to the next field path junction – turn right – after 400 m – turn left – 1 km uphill and downhill on the field path to the next branch and signpost location – turn right – 1 km straight ahead – turn left into forest path – 300 m straight ahead on the forest path – at the forest path junction turn right – 1.3 km past the viewpoint "Heiterer Blick" with its White Cross – 1.3 km downhill along the EPW-marked hiking trail to the new Elster bridge – cross the village street – at the Elster weir and signpost location turn right – 400 m parallel to the White Elster reaches the stage destination Neumühle/Elster

Getting there
Berga can be reached from the Dresden/Chemnitz direction via the A 72 motorway, exit Reichenbach - Greiz - Neumühle - Berga.
Parking
Use the public parking lots at the White Elster.
Public transportation

Hikers can travel by train as far as Greiz or Wünschendorf, continuing by bus to the starting point is possible
