Variants of the Saxon Pilgrim Way on the Franconian Road start in Königsbrück as well as in Jahnsdorf (Pilgrim Way St. Anna), from Annaberg-Buchholz (Pilgrim Way Silver Mountain) and from Kadaň (St. James Way Krušnohoří). These routes are also the basis for the ErzCamino, on which the reverse directions are also signposted.

The Saxon Pilgrim Way is marked with the European symbol, a stylized shell, pointing towards Santiago de Compostela. The center of the shell indicates the direction of travel. For the use of pilgrim hostels, a pilgrim passport is required. For information on ordering the passport, pilgrim guide, souvenirs, as well as route descriptions and map, please visit the homepage.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

All variants pass through the UNESCO World Heritage Mining Region Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří and ultimately end again on the Saxon Pilgrim Way in Vogtland's Hirschfeld. The Kadan - Jahnsdorf variant is marked in both directions.
